Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has condoled the Nigeria Union of Joirnalists (NUJ), Adamawa State Council over the demise of Ibrahim Abdulaziz who died on Friday February 5, 2021, in a car crash along Gombe-Bauchi road.
The governor’s condolences were conveyed in a press statement signed and made available to newsmen by Humwashi Wonosikou, his Press Secretary.
According to the statement, Governor Fintiri expressed his personal condolences and that of the Government and the entire people of Adamawa State to NUJ, the family of the deceased and his close associates.
“I am deeply saddened by the news of the demise of Ibrahim Abdulaziz at a time his contributions are needed to engender development in the State.
“Abdulaziz’ death is coming at a time when the Media Industry can benefit more from his wealth of experience”, he stated.
Fintiri therefore urged the family to draw courage and strength from Allah at this trying moment.
New Nigerian reports that late Abdulaziz a versatile journalist had worked variously with Voice of America Hausa Service, Premium Times, Daily Trust and Blueprint Newspapers.
He also worked with New Telegraph Newspapers, FRCN Fombina FM as well as Gotel Communications before the unfortunate auto crash that claimed his life.
The governor prayed Allah to grant the deceased Jannatul Firdaus and the family, the fortitude to bear the loss.
