Operattives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) Ibadan zonal office on Friday arrested 7 suspected Internet fraudsters.
The suspected Internet fraudsters according to EFCC were swooped on and arrested by the commission operatives at their hideout in Wisdom Estate, Akobo area of Ibadan.
EFCC stressed in a statement in Ibadan that the early morning operation by its men was as a result of series of intelligence on the alleged criminal activities of the syndicate.
The Commission gave the identity of the arrested seven suspects as Sodiq Oluwasegun, Opeyemi Jamiu, Babatunde Damilare, Adisa Babatunde, Abayomi Taofeek, Oluyemi Kayode and Ambrose Timothy.
It stressed that items recovered from the suspected internet fraudsters to include a Lexus RX350 SUV, laptops, different models of expensive iPhones and several documents containing false pretenses.
EFCC however stated that the seven suspected internet fraudsters will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
