Kick Boxing Federation Calls For Robust Understanding Between Govt, Private Sector

Vice President Kick Boxing Federation of Nigeria (KBFN), Gospel Obolo has called for a better synergy between the Government and the private sector  to invest in good facilities for the benefit of sports in the country.


Obolo said it is  important for Athletes to get used to playing on good surfaces to make them get better with modern tactics in their chosen career .

Vice president Kick Boxing Federation o Nigeria Gospel Obolo in a telephone interview with New Nigerian Sports said  quality facilities will enhance free flow of the game and the sports men and women will be happy to express themselves better.


He said the Federation  has built a world standard ring in Bayelsa State close to the University to aid in the discovery of talented Kickboxers in the country.


Obolo stated that the ring will also give the athletes a better feel to compete favourably with their counterparts major tournaments 
On their programmes for 2021 he said the Federation will be starting off with a mini competition this month in a yet to named venue as they are hopeful of a better outing this year after the distribution of sporting activities last year due to the out break of COVID- 19.


He said despite the out break of COVID 19 last year the Federation was able to record some success last year which they will consolidate on this year.


Gospel Obolo who doubles as the CEO of renew sports and  entertainment has established a football academy in Turkey with the state of the art facilities for players to better their career and play their trade with top clubs like Galatasaray in Turkey.

 
He said plans are on to organise a grassroots football championship soon to discover talented player who will gain scholarship in the facility and one day get called up to represent Nigeria.
