Member House of Representatives, representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency, Hon. Samaila Suleiman has  said that Governor Nasiru el-Rufai-led government has performed far beyond his campaign promises, saying urban renewal projects and various giant developmental strides  would go a long way in making Kaduna the most developed state in Nigeria.
He disclosed that the state had been lacking behind  but with the efforts of this present administration, who  according to him, will implement development master plan that would put the capital of the defunct North   far ahead its peers on march towards becoming a modern cosmopolitan city.
He made the assertions while fielding questions from newsmen in Kaduna on current happenings within his party in Zone 2, insisting that the intra-party skirmishes experienced in APC Kaduna Central were personal, not a general problem, predicting that individuals who had no interests of the ruling party at heart would manifest through their antics and be shown the way out instead of remaining as fifth columnists.
Hon Samaila highlighted some achievements of el-Rufai since becoming governor of Kaduna to include; total reform of the state civil service for efficiency, urban renewal projects that have given Kaduna a new look, reform of public education that has seen more pupils enrollment, transparency in governance, open budgetary processes and implementations, security, attracting foreign and local investors to the state thus providing job opportunities for citizens among others.
He also appealed to people to be fair and objective in their appraisals of the  present administration in the state, urging them not to be swayed over and cajoled by political adversaries whose motives are personal advantages over interest of the masses.
Samaila who was chairman of Kaduna North before he was elected to Federal House of Representatives in 2015 disclosed that the ongoing registration of members in his party which will commence soon will be a clear indicator that APC would remain the party to beat beyond 2023.
“The overwhelming number of people that will troop out to be registered as members of our great party will vindicate our claim of still being the platform of the masses, agent of change and progressive movement peopled with individuals capable of providing needed leadership to take governance at all levels to greater heights.
“This is despite activities of fifth columnists sent to distract our commitment to welfare of Nigerians and derail the lofty ideas We have in place for the masses achievable in piecemeal within the shortest possible timeline.
“I can assure you we are on track despite hiccups here and there which are usually expected in a journey which outcome will be eventually fruitful , enduring and beneficial to even generations yet unborn.
“Governor el-Rufai is a visionary leader with foresight, committed to laid down goals and aspirations to bring about positive changes in socio-economic and  political lives of his people especially those at the grassroots.
“He is poised to building enduring institutions and infrastructure that will stand the test of time, leading the way to having a competitive society that is self-sufficient and a reference point in modern time.
“Take the Kawo flyover bridge for example which he had to dismantle and erect a solid one with strong foundation befitting of the status of a modern city.
“We will soon be on a search for a competent, vibrant and Dogged politician with strong war chest that is familiar with the political terrain of the entire state that also has network, support and deeply rooted politically with the  capacity of continuing with El-rufai’s good job.
“It is imperative to consolidate achievements recorded by Governor el-Rufai through continuity of projects and governance by allowing whoever succeed him the mandate at the next polls so we all will smile at the end of the day,” he said.
