Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 1,114 New Cases, Total 128,674

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported it found 1,114 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in 21 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Friday 29th January 2021.
The pandemic attacked the following areas yesterday: Lagos 408, FCT 95, Plateau 90, Ondo 66, Kaduna 63, Oyo 56, Borno 46, Imo 42, Edo 41, Ogun 37, Rivers 31, Ekiti 25, Yobe 20, Kano 18, Akwa Ibom 18, Delta 15, Osun 15, Kwara 11, Bayelsa 6, Nasarawa 6, Zamfara 4 and Bauchi 1.
NCDC wrote on its twitter account that as of 11.40 p.m. on 29th January 2021 Nigeria had recorded a total of 128,674 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic since the index case was found in the country.
Out of the total, 102,780 positive cases of the worldwide virus had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,577 patients who tested positive for the global disease had died in Nigeria to date.

Daily update data released by NCDC showed that COVID-19 killed 30 persons in Nigeria on Friday.
The disease control agency said that there was a backlog of 26 discharged cases in Akwa Ibom State, 713 community recoveries in Lagos State, 124 in Plateau State and 118 in Kaduna state
