Police Apprehends 2 Suspects With Locally Made Pistol At Shrine

Two suspected armed robbers have been arrested in Lagos with two locally made pistols at a shrine while appeasing God of iron.
Our correspondent reliably gathered that the suspects were apprehended following a tip off by police operatives attached to Ejigbo Division, while consulting with one Lawrence Adeniji, (a.k.a OPC Abore) at his shrine in Ejigbo area of the state.
The suspects were dentified as Opeyemi Adegboyega, 28, and Dernard Ahor, 35.
Exhibits recovered from them, sources said include two locally-made pistols, six live cartridges, one hand chain, one ring, two  iPhones, one Nokia phone, one Tecno phone and assorted charms. 
The incident, according to report occurred on Friday 22nd January, 2021.
The police public relations officer CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi confirmed the arrest in a release made available to journalists in Thursday.
According to the release, it was the shrine owner (OPC Abore) and some members of the community that informed the DPO of the division of the antics and suspicious moves of the suspects and that they were in possession of the weapons.
At the shrine, the Abore and some members of the community quickly informed the Divisional Police Officer, Ejigbo Division, of the antics and suspicious moves of the suspects for being in possession of locally-made pistols, live cartridges and ammunition to appease the god of Iron, Ogun, which is strange to their usual practice in the shrine.

It reads, “The police operatives attached to Ejigbo Division, based on a tip off, arrested 2 suspected armed robbers on Friday 22nd January, 2021, at Ejigbo area of Lagos, while consulting one Lawrence Adeniji, (OPC Abore) at his Shrine to appease the god of Iron, Ogun. 
At the shrine, the Abore and some members of the community quickly informed the Divisional Police Officer, Ejigbo Division, of the antics and suspicious moves of the suspects for being in possession of locally-made pistols, live cartridges and ammunition to appease the god of Iron, Ogun, which is strange to their usual practice in the shrine.
The suspects arrested are Opeyemi Adegboyega, m, 28, and Dernard Ahor, m, 35. Items recovered from them included two (2) locally-made pistols, six (6) live cartridges, one hand chain, one ring, two (2) iPhones, one Nokia phone, one Tecno phone and assorted charms. 
The suspects and their exhibits have been moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba for proper investigation on the order of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State,  CP Hakeem Odumosu”.
