Police Arrests Self Acclaimed Prophet, ‘Onyeze Jesus’ In Anambra

Controversial self acclaimed prophet, Onyebuchi Okocha, aka ‘Onyeze Jesus’ has been arrested by the police in Anambra State.

It was gathered that Jesus’ would be arraigned for various offences on Thursday, January 28, 2021 following his arrest on Wednesday., January 27, 2021.

Recall that the founder of Children of Light Anointing Ministries, Nkpor, Idemili North local government area of the state was recently warned the prophet against some of practices in the name of religion.

The practices include, throwing different denominations of the naira into the River, asking women to swim naked in it and recording it in video which he subsequently circulate.

Also, following his announcement thst he would raise seven dead peopleto lifr, the Ministry of Health, in a statement on Wednesday, January, 27, 2021 warned hospitals and mortuaries operating in the state against allowing ‘Onyeze Jesus’ access to their facilities to carry out his widely publicised claim and planned ‘magic’ that he would raise seven corpses on January 28, 2021.

Jesus, an indigene of Amafor village in Nkpor, is about 32 years and without much education training is saud to be  a bus conductor before his venture into religion.

The state Police public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Haruna Mohammed confirmed the arrest to journalists in Awka.
