Yoruba activist and a Community leader, Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho on Tuesday disclosed that some Yoruba hoodlums and criminal minded herders set one of his houses in Ibadan ablaze  at Soka area of the town.
Speaking with journalists in Ibadan ,Chief Sunday Igboho declared the Yoruba hoodlums conspired with the said criminal herders to invade his Soka house and set it on fire.
The activist maintained that during the fire incident, property worth over  N50 million were destroyed at his razed house in Soka 
According to Chief Sunday Igboho, it was act of cowardice that the hoodlums and their accomplished could not be bold enough to invade his new residential house for the attack instead of heading to his old residential place, adding, it was glaring that some Yoruba allegedly spearheaded the attack shooting sporadically into the house after which it was set ablazed.
He stressed that going back the information at his disposal, the attackers invaded his Soka area house   in a Hullman bus with four others buses shooting sporadically into the house after which they set it ablaze.
” I wonder why can’t they come and meet me here and test their capacity. They need not to go to my former residential place, they should have come here to meet me.  If they are sure of themselves,why can’t they come to where I am living. They know I am no longer here. Had it been they launched the attack on this house where I am living. I can assure you that there is no way we won’t have an evidence on the attackers. At least, we will have one of them as an evidence”, he said.
New Nigerian recalled that the Oyo state command of the Nigeria Police Force early Tuesday in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan by the Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Gbenga Fadeyi stated that Chief Sunday Igboho House was attacked by unidentified hoodlums,
“At about 0620 hrs of today 26/01/2021, report was received at Sanyo Police Station that some unidentified hoodlums came to Sunday Igboho’s house at SOKA area of Ibadan in a Hummer bus and Micra firing sporadically, and set the house ablaze. The mini sitting room got burnt in the process while amount of other properties is yet to be estimated. Immediately the DPO Sanyo got wind of the incident, he contacted Fire service while he also went to the scene for on the spot assessment.” he said
 The PPRO added, The fire was eventually put out. Investigation has commenced into the incident while the Police is on the trail of the hoodlums.”
