Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 1,964 New Cases, Total 116,655 In Nigeria,



CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) spread across 23 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Thursday 21st January 2021.
Here are the names of COVID-19-infected states on Thursday: Lagos 824, FCT 246, Plateau 166, Kaduna 128, Ogun 76, Nasarawa 74, Anambra 69, Edo 50, Rivers 45, Ondo 44, Niger 40, Oyo 38, Adamawa 35, Kano 31, Akwa Ibom 27, Gombe 19, Kwara 13, Ekiti 12, Delta 6, Kebbi 6, Bauchi 5, Ebonyi 4, Osun 3 and Zamfara 1.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported on its twitter handle that as of 11.38 p.m. on 21st January 2021, Nigeria had recorded a total of 116,655 confirmed cases of the global pandemic since the index case was discovered in the country.
Out of the total, 93,646 people who tested positive for the virus had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,485 patients had been killed by the disease in Nigeria to date.
COVID-19 killed seven persons in Nigeria on Thursday, according to NCDC’s daily update on the pandemic.
The national disease control agency said that its discharges on Thursday included 798 community recoveries in Lagos State and 191 community recoveries in Ondo State managed in line with guidelines.
