*case adjourned till January 25

A 58 years old man was on Thursday ordered to be remanded by the Oyo State Family Court sitting in Ibadan for allegedly defiling a 7-year old girl, identified as Emmanuella.
The 58 years old man, Francis Abayomi was arraigned before the Family Court by the Oyo State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Thursday.
Arragning Abayomi, NSCDC informed the Court that he allegedly committed the offence on November 25, 2020 at Kutamiti Street off Bashorun Expressway Ibadan.
According to Oyo NSCDC, the 58 years old man allegedly defiled the 7 years old girl without her consent and thereby committed an offence contrary to section 34(1) and punishable under Section 34 (2) of the Oyo State Child Rights Law 2006.
The Magistrate in Charge of Family Court 1 Iyaganku Ibadan, Magistrate S. H Adebisi ordered that the 58 years old man be remanded in the NSCDC Custody at the State Headquarter’s Agodi Ibadan until next mentioning of the case.
Magistrate Adebisi however, adjourned the Case till January 25, 2021.
