Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has commiserated with the family of Dr. Danbaushe Bako over the death of their martriach, Mrs Briskilla D. Bako who died recently at the age of 85 years in Baganje, Billiri Local Government Area.
This was expressed in a statement signed by the Director- General (Press Affairs) Government House, Gombe, Ismaila Uba Misilli, made available to newsmen on Thursday January 14, 2020.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya, in a condolence message, described the late Mrs Briskilla as a great educationist, committed community leader and strong family pillar who supported her husband’s career in administration and her children’s educational pursuit and other endeavours.
He lamented that Mama died at a time her motherly love, counsel and wisdom were needed, but counselled that “we must take solace in the fact that she lived a fruitful and fulfilled life and impacted positively on the lives of her children and community.
” She also left behind legacies of service and good character which will continue to be remembered and cherished “.
Governor Yahaya conveyed the condolences of the government and people of Gombe state to her husband, Dr Danbaushe Bako, former secretary Billiri LGA and one time Sole Administrator of Toro LGA in Bauchi state, her son, Dr Jordan Lamajo Bako and his siblings over the great loss, praying Almighty God to grant mama eternal rest.
The funeral of the late Mrs Briskilla Bako is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday 16th January, 2021 at ECWA church Baganje in Billiri Local Government Area.
