Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 1,270 New Cases, Total 102,601

Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infected Nigeria’s twenty-one states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Tuesday 12th January 2021.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control’s (NCDC) list of names attacked by the pandemic yesterday showed the following: Lagos 435, FCT 234, Oyo 103, Plateau 86, Rivers 71, Enugu 51, Nasarawa 41, Delta 39, Edo 39, Osun 33, Niger 31, Sokoto 23, Ondo 16, Taraba 13, Ebonyi 12, Kano 10, Abia 9, Bayelsa 8, Bauchi 7, Imo 5, Katsina 3 and Gombe 1.
NCDC reported that as of 11.45 p.m. on Tuesday 12th January 2021 Nigeria has had a total of 102,601 confirmed cases COVID-19 since the index case happened in the country.
Out of the total, 81,574 patients who tested positive to the worldwide virus had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the country had reported 1,373 deaths arising from the global pestilence since the first case was recorded in the nation.
According to NCDC data, 12 persons were killed by COVID-19 in Nigeria on Tuesday.
