Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 1,024 New Cases, Total 100,087

The 1,024 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID19) detected in Nigeria on Sunday 10th January 2021 spread across 16 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
A list of Sunday’s COVID-19-ravaged states released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) contained the following names: Lagos 653, Plateau 63, Benue 48, Zamfara 45, FCT 42, Rivers 27, Ondo 26, Adamawa 26, Kaduna 22, Edo 18, Ogun 16, Imo 12, Kano 9, Yobe 6, Ekiti 5, Jigawa 4 and Osun 2.
As of 11.40 p.m. on 10th January 2021 Nigeria had been infected with a total of 100,087 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic since the index case was found in the country.
Out of the total, 80,030 patients who tested positive to the global virus had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,358 people have killed by the disease in Nigeria to date.
According to data from NCDC, COVID-19 killed eight persons in Nigeria on Sunday.
