Oyo state Commandant  of Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), CC Michael Akintayo Adaralewa on Tuesday charged Nigerians to help security agents in maintaining peace across the country
Commandant Adaralewa gave the charge in Ibadan at the State Command Headquarters Agodi Ibadan while addressing officers and men who went to some school and market on this year’s International Day of Peace .
The NSCDC Commandant pointed out that in doing this, there is the need for Nigerians to be ready to give timely and adequate information to security agencies in and across the country.
Specifically, Commandant Adaralewa tasked residents in Oyo state to embrace peace as well as tolerating one another in the society for sustainable development as well as moving our nation forward.
According to the NSCDC Commandant, every little step that we can take to remind people about the value and the benefits of peace is necessary especially on a day like this.
Appreciating the leadership of this organisation that created and sustained the Peace and conflict resolution unit of the Corps, he hinted that 251 cases have been resolved this year  alone.

Head of Peace and Conflict Resolution Unit DCC  Olanitori Modupe while speaking expressed happiness on the support and cooperation received from schools and markets where  all the officers and men of the Oyo state NSCDC command visited for sensitisation.
Some of the schools visited by officers and men of the command included United Secondary school Omi Adio, Nurudeen group of School Kishi, Our Lady of Apostle Odo Ona, Olanipekun memorial High School Irepo, Acomoran the Okada riders, Itesiwaju High School Alapafon, Badeku Community School Inukan, Bolude Plank market Ona Ara and Alafin High School, Oyo town.
