Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 1,016 New Cases, Total 86,576

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) had 1,016 new infections of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) in 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Wednesday 30th December 2020.
Here are the names of the areas that the pandemic attacked on Wednesday: Lagos 434, FCT 155, Plateau 94, Kaduna 56, Rivers 56, Oyo 30, Nasarawa 27, Zamfara 25, Abia 22, Enugu 18, Kano 18, Bayelsa 15, Edo 14, Ogun 11, Borno 10, Ebonyi 10, Jigawa 7, Anambra 4, Delta 3, Niger 3 and Osun 3.
As of 11.52 p.m. on 30th December 2020 Nigeria had recorded a total of 86,576 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the index case of the worldwide pandemic was found in the country.
Out of the total, 73,322 people who contracted the global virus had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while to date 1,278 patients afflicted with the disease had died in the country.
Figures released by NCDC showed that 11 patients died of COVID-19-related causes in Nigeria on Wednesday.
