Oyo State Police Command on Monday disclosed that five suspects have been arrested in connection with Sunday’s attacks by hoodlums on some residents of Ibadan.
New Nigerian gathered that the hoodlums during the violence said to be a reprisal attack between two rival groups invaded Aremo and other areas in Ibadan looting shops carting away goods , destroying cars as well as other valuable property .
Commenting on the violence, Oyo state Police command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Gbenga Fadeyi in a statement confirmed the arrest of the five suspects and that the suspects would be transferred to SCID for discreet instigation.
The Oyo Police PPRO stressed in the statement that the five suspects were arrested by the collaborative efforts of joint patrol teams from Agugu, Mapo and Idi- Aro Police stations, saying, “in response to the incident at Aremo, five suspects were arrested by collaborative efforts of Joint patrol teams from Agugu, Mapo and Idi- Aro.”
He added that the suspects will be transfered to SCID Iyaganku, Ibadan for discreet investigation,”
