Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 712 New Cases, Total 82,747 As Kaduna Records 136 Daily Recoveries

In Nigeria, 712 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were detected in 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Friday 25th December 2020.
In Nigeria Centre for Disease Control’s (NCDC) list of COVID-19-infected places yesterday are: Lagos 388, FCT 77, Kwara 39, Katsina 35, Bauchi 33, Plateau 22, Ogun 18, Akwa Ibom 16, Delta 13, Kaduna 12, Osun 12, Yobe 11, Sokoto 10, Kebbi 8, Enugu 6, Edo 5, Ondo 3, Niger 2, Kano 1 and Oyo 1.
As of 11.28 p.m. on 25th December 2020 Nigeria had recorded a total of 82,747 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic infections since the index case occurred in the country, NCDC announced on its twitter handle yesterday.
Out of the total, 70,239 positive cases of the worldwide virus had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the global disease had killed 1,246 patients in the nation since the first case was reported there.
COVID-19 killed 10 people in Nigeria on Friday.
“Our discharges today include 248 community recoveries in Lagos State and 136 community recoveries in Kaduna State managed in line with guidelines,” NCDC said in its COVID-19 daily update released yesterday.
