Member representing Obi II in Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Luka Illiya Zhekaba had an interface with Zhe-Migili palace with the traditional rulers from the Constituency.
Hon. Zhekaba pleaded with the traditional rulers and title holders from various communities to draw the attention of all Migili sons and daughters on the need to do away with personal interest and collectively join hands to fight for a common goal for the people.
“We must respect those in power and work with them for the good of people, because it is Zhekaba today, tomorrow may be another person”.
“I don’t represent myself, I represent the people of Obi II and I will make sure whatever is made for the people of Obi II, is given to them,” said Zhekaba.
Zhekaba expressed dissatisfaction with the manner of politics of backbiting, and urged politicians from Migili extraction to embrace oneness, that no meaningful development can be achieved with rancour and disunity.
The chairman of the traditional ruler of Jenkwe Development Area in Obi Local Government Area of the state, HRH Dr. Ayuba Agwadu Audu (JP) expressed happiness for the kind gesture of the Hon. Zhekaba for always remembering them since assuming office.
The royal father further prayed for Zhekaba for more wisdom in discharging his duties for the good of the constituents.
In a vote of thanks, HRH, Joshua Kyari, on behalf of the traditional rulers, thanked the Legislator for a remarkable work done and encouraged him to continue with the good gestures as a proud son of Migili.
The meeting climaxed with the presentation of gifts from the Honourable member to the traditional rulers.
In attendance included; HRH, Dr. Ayuba Agwadu Audi, Zhe-Migili and Chairman traditional ruler of Jenkwe Dev. Area Obi LG, HR Jonathan Gule Iwala Zhe-Duglu and HRH Joshua Zhegli Kyari, Zhe-Musha
Others include HRH James Agule, Zhe-Gude; HRH, Emmanuel Zhemacwe Barde, Zhe-Gidinye and Pst. Jonathan Agwadu (JP), Ozhi-Migili.
The Hon. Member was accompanied by his Campaign DG, Mr. Sunday Abaji; PDP zonal women leader, Hon. Hanatu John and others.
