Some concerned citizens under the aegis of Northern Coalition for Good Governance and Democracy has threatened to sue Senator Bala ibn Na Allah if he rejects their offer to contest for Kebbi State Governorship race in the 2023 general elections.
Spokesman of the Coalition, Alhaji Musa Gambo who made the threat in an interview with our reporter in Kaduna, said that the action follows serious deliberation and assessment by a cross section of youth associations in the North.
The Coalition noted that Senator Na’Allah’s performance and track record of achievements in the Senate has outshined most of the performances of his counterparts in the upper chamber and even some state governor’s in the Northern region.
Gambo said being in the legislative circle since  2013 to date, the Senator has proved his popularity, acceptability and proven integrity especially by people of Kebbi State where the Senator hails from.
The Coalition was so impressed by the establishment of an FM Radio station in Zuru, construction/renovation of primary schools, primary healthcare centres and facilitation of skilled labour to a number of youth in his constituency.
Musa Gambo confirmed the readiness of the coalition to take the Senator to the court should he refuse to accept their offer and contest for Kebbi State Governor in the next general elections.
“We intend to liase with youths, women and interest associations as well as religious and civil society organizations to compel the Senator to aspire for the exalted position in Kebbi State.
“And I want to tell you in all honesty that we will start making consultation with the Senator, but if he turns us down, he should be ready to face litigation.
“We have the constitutional rights to sue him because we feel he is the only outstanding politician that can save Kebbi citizens and bring about rapid positive transformation to the citizens.
“It is our wish that Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah will humbly and honourably accept our offer and represent his people in the 2023 Governorship race.” He urged.
