Councillor Narayi Ward in Chukun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Honourable Rahila Bivan, has commended Governor Nasir Ahmed el-Rufai for measures taken so far in the control and treatment of CoronaVirus pandemic in the state.
She expressed this while speaking with the New Nigerian on Monday, stressing that the measures taken by the governor have helped to put the state amongst those least affected by the virus.
“We also need to support government by obeying laws that limit the spread of the disease.”
According to her, the rate of infection in the first phase of the lockdown reduced because people obeyed laid down laws of government.
On the issue of insecurity, Hon. Bivan charged Nigerians to assist government by rendering needed information to help in curbing the menace.
“We should help government with intelligence to enable her catch those behind the wicked acts.”
Speaking on the 333 pupils kidnapped in Katsina State by bandits, she enjoined Nigerians to assist security personnel with all the needed information in the recovery of the pupils. Adding that as a mother/parent herself, she knows the pains their parents are presently facing.
“If the government of the state decides to impose a second lockdown because of the second phase of the infection, people of the state should obey government by observing all rules in the control of the spread,” she urged.
