Two Indian Expatriates Kidnapped In Ibadan

Men of the Oyo State Command of the  Nigerian Police Force are still in dilemma over the whereabout of the two Indian expatriates kidnapped in Ibadan last Wednesday by suspected gunmen.
New Nigerian reliably gathered that  the Indian expatriates were kidnapped by the  gunmen along Podo – Ijebu Ode road in Ibadan on Wednesday evening on their way back  from their working site when they were attacked by the kidnappers at Top 1 axis of the Podo- Ijebu Ode road and were reportedly whisked into an unknown destination.
Oyo State Police command Public Relations Officers (PPRO), SP Gbenga Fadeyi while confirming the story said the two foreigners were kidnapped around 4:00 pm Wednesday evening, and that the expatriates were kidnapped at a pharmaceutical firm near Toll Gate on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway while driving out of the company’s premises.
According to SP Fadeyi , the kidnappers, who were trailing the expatriates opened fire on their vehicle’s tyres which forced the vehicles to a halt and that the two foreigners were first robbed of their cash and other possessions before they were whisked away by their abductors.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) who advised expatriates in the state to be vigilant during this period maintained that men of the Oyo state Police Command are now on the trail of the criminals
“Modalities have been emplaced while concerted effort intensified to rescue them from their captor (s). Likewise, all expatriates are adviced to be vigilant and be watchful especially during this period.’While security agencies should be alerted when they see any suspicious movement around their facilities.”
