Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 418 New Cases, Total 73,175

In Nigeria, sixteen states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja recorded 418 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) infections on Sunday December 13, 2020.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced that the following areas were attacked by the global pandemic on Sunday: Lagos 113, FCT 86, Abia 47, Kaduna 39, Rivers 27, Katsina 22, Benue 14, Oyo 13, Kano 12, Enugu 8, Edo 7, Imo 7, Bauchi 6, Ebonyi 6, Ogun 6, Ondo 4 and Nasarawa 1.
As of 11.20 p.m. on 13th December 2020 Nigeria reported it has been infected with a total of 73,175 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the index case occurred in the country.
Out of the total, 66,090 patients who tested positive for the worldwide virus had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,197 deaths caused by the disease had occurred in the country during the period under review, according to NCDC.
Three deaths were caused by COVID-19 in Nigeria on Sunday.
