Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 318 New Cases, Total 69,255

There were 318 new infections of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria on Sunday 6th December 2020.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced that the new cases of COVID-19 pandemic were detected in thirteen states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja as follows: Lagos 104, Kaduna 59, FCT 50, Rivers 17, Ogun 16, Kano 14, Nasarawa 14, Akwa Ibom 10, Katsina 10, Edo 7, Oyo 5, Sokoto 5, Plateau 4 and Taraba 3.
As of 11.31 p.m. on 6th December 2020 Nigeria had recorded a total of 69,255 confirmed cases of the worldwide virus, NCDC wrote on its twitter handle.
Out of the total, 64,774 people who tested positive for the disease had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,180 patients had died of virus during the period under review.
COVID-19 did not kill any patient in Nigeria on Sunday.
Still in its COVID-19 update, NCDC said: “Our discharges today include 60 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.”
