Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 310 New Cases, Total 68,937

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) discovered 310 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country on Saturday 5th December 2020.
The new COVID-19 infections occurred in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja and eleven states of the federation as follows: FCT 128, Lagos 86, Kaduna 26, Katsina 20, Rivers 19, Oyo 7, Benue 5, Edo 5, Jigawa 5, Ogun 5, Bayelsa 2 and Kano 2.
As of 11.16 p.m. on 5th December 2020 Nigeria had been infested with a total of 68,937 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic since the index case happened in the nation.
Out of the total, 64,650 patients suffering from the worldwide virus had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the disease killed 1,180 people in the country during the period under review, NCDC stated on its twitter platform yesterday.
One death relating to COVID-19 was recorded by NCDC yesterday.
The national disease control agency said that its discharges on Saturday included 128 community recoveries in Lagos that were managed in line with guidelines.
