EndSARS Aftermath: Babandede Tours Enugu, Charges Security Heads To Remain Resolute, Professional

Heads of various security agencies in Enugu State have been charged to remain resolute and professional in the discharge of their duties.
The Comptroller General of Immigration Muhammad Babandede gave the charge during a visit to the state government as part of his ongoing nationwide tour of NIS facilities after the EndSARS protest to ascertain the level of damaged, destruction, vandalisation of equipment at Command’s and formations.
According to a release by the Service Public Relations Officer James Sunday, a Deputy Comptroller to n behalf of the Comptroller General, the tour is equally meant to also encourage the Officers and men on the need to keep their spirit high in the light of performing their national assignments.     
Babandede, who also commended the officers for their professionalism during the crisiscautioned that the Fundamental rights and privileges of citizens must be protected even in the face of provocation.
In addition, he enjoined officers to be discretionary and respect human lives at all times.         

The release reads, “The Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service Muhammad Babandede MFR during a nationwide tour of NIS facilities after the nationwide endsars protest visited Enugu state to ascertain level of damages, destruction and vandalisation of facilities and equipments at Commands and formations, to also encourage the Officers and men on the need to keep their spirit high in the light of performing their national assignments.     
While commending the various heads of security and response agencies to remain resolute and professional in the discharge of their duties, cautioned that the Fundamental rights and privileges of citizens must be protected even in the face of provocation.He enjoined officers to be discretionary and respect human lives at all times.         

Babandede appreciated the mutual and collaborative efforts of all the heads of security and response agencies in Enugu for working together, united at the time when their patience was tested, but were emotionally stable to perform admirably, he encouraged them to remain focused”.
