The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) has called on the federal government to bring more policies that can boost security in Nigeria and ensure that citizens are protected across the country.
This was announced by the national president of the association, Architect Kabir Ibrahim in a statement signed and issued to newsmen, where he disclosed that the recent ambush and killing of innocent farmers at Borno State is unfortunate.
The statement further emphasized that insecurity has retarded food production in many states and locations, where farmers abandoned their farmlands to other destinations due to the activities of insurgents, calling for urgent action.
Furthermore, AFAN advised the federal government to boost security in order to ensure that there are no obstacles in the issue of food production for economic growth, and commended the Nigerian security agencies on their untiring efforts towards the protection of lives and property of the citizens despite all challenges.
