Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: Kaduna Tops 122 New Cases, Total 67,960

In Nigeria, Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infected 122 people in eleven states of the federation on Wednesday 2nd December 2020..
The COVID-19-infected states are: Kaduna 37, Lagos 29, Plateau 25, Ekiti 9, Rivers 5, Ogun 5, Edo 4, Kwara 4, Bayelsa 2, Bauchi 1 and Kano 1.
In its daily update on the worldwide virus yesterday, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced that as of 11.16 p.m. on 2nd December 2020, a total of 67,960 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic had been reported in the country since the index case was recorded in the country.
Out of the total, 63,839 persons who contracted the disease had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,177 people had died of the pandemic in the country during the period under review.
Nigeria recorded one COVID-19-related death yesterday.
Also yesterday, NCDC said: “Our discharges today include 371 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.”
