Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has commended communities at its franchise area for being more vigilant on the protection of the company’s service materials against vandals across Kano, Katsina and Jigawa states in its efforts to ensure constant power supply.
In a statement signed and issued to our correspondent in Kano, the company’s head of Corporate Communications, Malam Ibrahim Sani Shawai said that KEDCO is working out strategies to ensure that consumers from the company’s catchment areas are given excellent power supply.
The statement further added that “KEDCO observed that some of its transformers and other installations have been destroyed by vandals which threw many communities in darkness, that is why the management is now focusing on surveillance activities in order to ensure that all installations remained active”.
In concluding, KEDCO tasked communities to always be vigilant through monitoring their respective installations remained intact to continue benefiting from adequate and constant power supply for economic progress of their domains.
