According to him, “these villages have been walking on track roads in the last 25 years without any access road. This is unbelievable in this global and digital world”.
He said that “I couldn’t have done it alone without the support of the governor, His Excellency Senator Ben Àyade, who is so passionate about the rural dwellers and their wellbeing”.
Effiom lauded the pragmatic style of administration by governor Àyade especially in the area of industrialization and called for support and cooperation from the people.
In an interview, the Clan Head of Akwa Ikot Effanga Offiong, His Royal Highness, Nyong Okon Edem, said that “Hon.Okokon Effiom, has been God sent to the people of this community. Onbehalf of my people we are full of appreciation to the governor, Prof. Ben Ayade and Mr. Edem Okokon Effiom for what they have done for our community”.
He noted that for over 25 years, “this is the first time a bulldozer has entered our community to do grading of this kind. We are very glad and grateful to this government”.
The community, he added, is solidly behind this administration that has remembered us after 25 good years without any access road in our community.
