Police Arrests 8 More Suspects Over Burning Of Iseyin Divisional Station, Recovers 40 Motorcycles, 3 Dane Guns

Eight more suspects are now in police net in Oyo State over the burning of Iseyin Divisional Police station during the recent #EndSARS protests in the town.
Oyo State Police Commissioner of Police, CP Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu  stated this on Thursday in Ibadan while briefing newsmen on the activities of the command at the Oyo state Police  headquarters in Eleyele,
According to  CP Enwonwu 40 motorcycles and 3 dane guns  were also  recovered from the arrested   8 suspects identified as Afeez Olaniyi, Ademola Nojeem, Wasiu Rasak, Yekini Yakubu, Ogunleke Aderoju, Lamidi To head, Gafari Tunde
“On 31/10/2020, further information was received at quick intervention Unit of Oyo State Police Command in addition to the initial arrest of some hoodlums that masterminded the attack on policemen on duty at Iseyin Divisional Police Headquarters during the infamous EndSARS protest. On  02/11/2020 at about 2140hrs eight (8) additional suspects were also arrested in connection with the crimes. Forty (40) different motorcycles all parts of the items looted at Iseyin Divisional Headquarters were recovered from the suspects”,  he said. 
The Police Commissioner stressed that “upon interrogations, the suspects confessed to the crime and made useful information that will lead to arrest of other hoodlums who masterminded the criminal activity”, and that “efforts are on to arrest other fleeing suspects.”  
CP Enwonwu listed exhibit recovered from them are ” Forty different motorcycles, two ceiling fans, one computer desktop, three Dane guns.”
