The Conference of Alumni Associations of Nigerian Universities (CAANU) will during their fourth quarter delegates conference in Kaduna, present awards of CAANU to Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State for his giant strides in the development of education in the state and also to former Vice President, Arc. Namadi Sambo.
It was made known by the National Chairman of CAANU, Prof. Ahmed Tijjani Mora, when they paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Kaduna State, at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna.
According to Prof. Mora, the delegates conference of CAANU is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 28th November, 2020 at the Kaduna State University (KASU), main campus, Kaduna.
“His Excellency Arc. Mohammad Namadi Sambo, former governor of Kaduna State and former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria would be the Chairman of the occasion and would be honoured with the award of CAANU among other distinguished Nigerians”, Prof. Mora stated.
He added that, after the opening ceremony, the 2020 fourth quarter delegates conference of CAANU would be declared open by the Vice Chancellor of KASU, Prof. Muhammad Tanko.
He went further to say that, the Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Prof. Elias Suleiman Bogoro would present the keynote address to kickstart the delegates conference.
“I want to use this medium to solicit beforehand for the governor of Kaduna State Intervention in furnishing the renovated office facilities of the newly commissioned national secretariat of CAANU, as I believe this is within the powers of the governor to do so”, he said.
