Zamfara Bye Election: APC, PDP Express Hope, Commend Security Agents, INEC



 The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State have expressed their preparedness and commended security arrangements for the upcoming bye election for Bakura Local Government’ Area.

The representatives of the two political parties gave the assurance and commendations while speaking to newsmen after the signing of peace accord held in Bakura ahead of the State House of Assembly bye election slated for 5th December in the local government area.
The PDP, Zonal Vice Chairman, Zamfara West. Hajia Aisha Maradun said the ruling  PDP is ready and hopeful of winning the bye election.
“We as the ruling party believes that the power belong to Allah Who gives power and therefore we believe that we are going to win the election landslide,” he said.
Hajia Aisha said the PDP as a party is satisfied with the arrangements put in place the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies towards ensuring free, fair and credible election.

“We are satisfied by the measures the security agencies and INEC promised to put place for the success of the bye election,” she said.
 The zonal vice chairperson called on PDP supporters in Bakura local government area to respect all election guidelines to make the election hitch free.
“We are calling on our supporters to remain steadfast and conduct themselves peacefully before, during and after the election,” she admonished.
The Secretary APC Zamfara State chapter, Alhaji Sani Musa Talata Mafara said the APC is fully set to win the election.
“We have confidence that our party is going to win the election, because we have strong support from the grassroots in Bakura local government area,” he said.
He described Bakura local government area as a strong APC base and thereforeappealed to security agencies in the state to keep to their words and maintain the arrangements put in place to provide adequate security before, during and after the election.

“We are satisfied with the arrangements so far made by the security agencies and INEC for the successful conduct of the election,” Musa said.
The APC secretary enjoined members of the party to continue to remain law abiding and respect all election protocols and come out enmass to vote for APC candidate.
