The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja and nine out of the 36 state governments of Nigeria were infected with 168 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Tuesday 24th November 2020.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said the following areas were attacked by the worldwide pandemic on Tuesday: FCT 61, Lagos 50, Kaduna 27, Oyo 12, Rivers 6, Katsina 5, Ogun 3, Kwara 2, Edo 1 and Kano 1.
As of 11.14 p.m. on 24th November 2020 Nigeria had recorded a total of 66,607 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the index case was reported in the nation.
Out of the total, 62,311 COVID-19-infected patients had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while1,169 deaths caused by the global virus had happened in the country, according to NCDC on its twitter account on Tuesday.
The disease killed one person in Nigeria on Tuesday.
