Nigerian Government has been called upon to put more efforts in addressing the problem of insecurity bedevilling the country for the safety of lives and property of its citizens.
This was contained in a Communique jointly signed by Dr. James Wuye and Imam Muhammad Ashafa, Co-Executive Directors of
Interfaith Mediation Centre Kaduna State issued at the end of its monthly forum organized by the centre on Tuesday in Kaduna.
The government was also urged to address the problem in order to protect the lives of the people especially passengers that are plying the roads.
According to the Communique, in the month of October and November during the ENDSARS protest, kidnapping, banditry and other challenges significantly reduced but decried the possibility of high record of kidnapping after the protest.
It further lamented that farmers in Northern Nigeria, especially where kidnapping has become rampant, find it difficult to evacuate their farm products as they have to mobilize members of the vigilance group to assist
The Communique lamented the hike in prices of food items and other commodities in the country.
