Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 236 New Cases, Total 65,693



In Nigeria, 236 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were found in thirteen states and the Federal Capital Territory FCT Abuja on Wednesday November 18, 2020.
List of states infected by COVID-19 pandemic on Wednesday which was released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) bore the following: Lagos 142, Ogun 19, Kaduna 15, FCT 14, Imo 14, Rivers 14, Plateau 6, Katsina 3, Ekiti 2, Jigawa 2, Oyo 2, Cross River 1, Kano 1 and Taraba 1.
As of 11.09 p.m. on 18th November 2020 Nigeria had reported a total of 65,693 confirmed cases of the worldwide virus since the index case was detected in the country.
Out of the total, 61,457 people who tested positive for the disease had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,163 persons had been killed by COVID-19 in Nigeria during the period under review, NCDC announced on its twitter platform on Wednesday.
The pandemic did not kill any human being in Nigeria on Wednesday.
NCDC said on Wednesday that a previously recorded death in Edo State was erroneously reported.
