Irked by incessant communal skimishes along Malam Madori Hadejia axis resulting to fatal loss of lives and massive destruction of property running into millions of Naira, the Emir of Hadejia and Jgawa State Chairman Council of Chiefs, Dr Adamu Abubakar Maje has called on the federal government to provide an army barrack along Malam Madori Hadejia road.
He made the call while receiving participants of Course 43 of the Armed Forces Command Staff College Jaji, who are on study tour to the state in his palace.
Dr Adamu Abubakar Maje said the provision of the army barrack will boost security and improve the lot of the people.
He said the Hadejia Emirate is bordered by Niger Republic, therefore, Fulani herdsmen are migrating from Mali to the area and causing frequent communal skirmishes.
Speaking further, the Emir called on the federal government to continue taking measures against curtailing of the COVID-19 pandemic and commended the participants for the visit.
Earlier, the leader of the team, Navy Commodore Murtala Aliyu Rogo said the visit was a study tour and a report will be submitted to the defence headquarters.
The participants were taken round to Three Brothers Rice Mill, by the Director REPA.
Secretary to the State Government, Malam Isyaku Shehu who represented the state government, accompanied the team to the emir’s palace.
