The Industrial Industrial Fund (ITF) has said that all liable contributing employers that are up to date in their training contributions  are supposed to claim reimbursement.

The Director General of the fund, Sir Joseph Ari stated this at an interactive forum with stakeholders in Kaduna State.
Represented by Kaduna Area Manager, Yahaya Manu, the Director General lamented that many of the employers find it difficult to do accurate calculations in respect of their respective claims.
He explained that the fund has no choice than to bring the issue to the front burner in this year’s forum.
Sir Joseph Ari maintained that their analysis shows that it is either the organizations lack interest in the reimbursement scheme or they are not properly grounded on the procedures to be followed.
He further explained that the stakeholders meeting would offer a unique opportunity for the Industrial Training Fund to get feedback and also be able to address some grey areas that might arise.
In his remarks, the Director Kaduna  Ministry for Business, Innovation and Technology, Mr. Bulus Adams explained that the state government has organized similar engagements for youth and traditional leaders towards boosting the business environment in the state.
He further explained that a strong collaboration between the government and the Industrial Training Fund is on and memorandum of understanding would be sealed for the interest of the two parties.
Also speaking, the Manager of Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Kaduna State, Alhaji Badamasi Yau Barau commended ITF for organizing such stakeholders meeting at this crucial time.
He pledged  SMEDAN’s support and cooperation to the Industrial Training Fund to ensure its success.
Some of the stakeholders commended the ITF for the awareness and promised to reach their organizations for the benefit of their staff.
The stakeholders meeting witnessed a paper presentation titled optimizing the ITF reimbursement scheme.
