Kaduna Govt Taking Measures To Combat Crime, Insecurity Across State – Deputy Gov



The Acting Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuws Balarabe, on Tuesday, has said, the state government has taken some steps towards combating crime and insecurity within the metropolis and rural areas.
Dr. Hadiza Balarabe stated this when she received participants of the Advanced Defence Intelligence Officers Course 13/2020 of the Defence Intelligence College, Abuja who came on courtesy visit to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in Kaduna.
The Acting Governor, commended the leader and other members of the team of the Defense Intelligence College who has done well, she said: with the little that we had, it has gone from strength to strength I believe that it will continue, she admonished.
She also commended them for choosing Kaduna State, adding that, it is not by mistake, saying the state is the centre of learning.

“Once you come here, you find out that there’s a lot to gains from being here,” she added.

The Acting Governor prayed that at the end of interaction, they will have very concrete and noble ideas on how they can curb the issues of banditry that has bedeviled the society as a whole.

“It is our quest that we do away this, something that is dear to our hearts, we are willing to work with each and everyone of you that can give us new ideas on how to go about others things,” she said.

Speaking further, she said: technology has been embraced to meet with dynamic scope of the challenges.

“There’s a lot that we are doing but we are open to learning. I pray that the interaction you will have with other members will be fruitful.

“We are pleased to see you on a study job, as intelligence officers, it will help you on some of the stories you have heard about the state. 
This is an opportunity that can really make you to make up your mind on some of the things that you have heard about the state,” she stressed.

She wished them a very enjoyable and  greatly beneficial stay in the state.

In a remark, the Commandant Defence Intelligence College Abuja, Commodore Mike Oamen said the officers were in Kaduna on a study tour.

According to him, the theme of the study tour is “Consolidating the Gain  of intelligence in curbing banditry for enhanced national security”.

He said: Defence Intelligence College,  was established in 2001 with selected officers from colleges with training in intelligence as they have expanded their school with departments and  security sector.
