A leading  All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State during the 2019 elections, Engineer Olasunkanmi Joseph Tegbe on Monday hinted that he is still interested in contesting the state governorship race come 2023.
Engineer Tegbe stated this in Ibadan while speaking with journalists shortly after he was installed as the Mogaji of the Oguntegbe’s family, Labo compound in Ibadan by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji at his Popoyemoja palace alongside other Mogaji’s and Baales
The new Mogaji pointed out that his interest in the governance of Oyo State has not diminished, as he is still very keen in ensuring that the people get good governance .
On  his installation as the Mogaji of the Oguntegbe family, the APC governorship aspirant said the installation has finally  put to  rest the insinuations that he is  not an Ibadan indigene .
The Partner and Head of the Technology Advisory Services practice of KPMG Professional Services in Nigeria stressed that his installation as the Mogaji will be a good omen for people at the Oguntegbe family and the entire Ibadanland .
“We are just revalidating the obvious mischievous allegations that a man that has his origin in Ibadan is not from Ibadan but come from Edo or Delta. This is just the beginning of greater things to come to my family and Ibadan land”, he said.
The new Mogaji added, “my plan is to consult round to know what my people lack which I’ve already been doing through my foundation by supporting Ibadan indigenes, widows and less privileged in the society”.
Installing the new Mogaji, Oba Adetunji described Engineer Tegbe as “beloved son of Ibadan”, and the installation has ended the controversy surrounding his  indigeneship .

Three other Mogajis installed by the Olubadan on Monday were Chief Isiaka Adeniyi Ojebode who was installed as Mogaji of Ile-Iwo family in Oja Oba, Chief Sikiru Adekola Olotu who was installed as Mogaji of Adesun/Adabanija and Chief Lukman Adeleke who was installed as Mogaji of Odeku in Bode area of Ibadan. .
