el-Rufai Demands Prudent Management Of Nigeria’s “Dwindling” Resources



There Is Need For Prudent Management Of Nigeria’s Resources, el-Rufai Says
Fiollowing dwindling of resources accruable to the Federal Government as a result of the outbreak of COVID-19, the Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State has advised judicious use of resources.

He gave the advice while declaring open a 5 Days Retreat For Internal Auditors on Audit Modernization and Role Of Auditors In An ICT Environment which opened in Kaduna on Monday November 16, 2020.

“We are faced with economic challenges and leaner resources in history of our country as a result of COVID-19.
“Meagre Resources that come in must be judiciously managed,” he advised.

Represented by his Deputy,  Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, in a goodwill message,  he said that he would be glad to have a copy of the outcome of the meeting for Kaduna to learn from 
He said auditors are responsible to ensuring other personnel obey the rules and raise the flag when there is a breach in an organization.
Speaking further, the Governor said that Kaduna Govt believes in transparency and was first to sign up to the OGP.
According to the Governor, Kaduna State  under his administration has raised Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) from N13bn in 2015 to N45bn annually.

He therefore, charged the internal auditors to remain resolute and firm in carrying out their responsibilities.
