Barr Sam Otoboeze Foundation (BSOF), that specializes in artificial limbs donation has said that the burning desire of the foundation is to give hope to the hopeless, irrespective of religion, tribe or social class.
Speaking to beneficiaries of the artificial limbs donation from Kaduna, the National Coordinator of the foundation, Mr. Ambrose Maduka congratulated the beneficiaries for taking a leap of faith by travelling all the way from Kaduna to Rivers State to change their situation and better their lives.
He added that everyone that is alive has a need, saying that it could be a burning hunger from inside, either to do or have a particular need met.
He advised the beneficiaries to not limit themselves but use the opportunity to better their lives by turning their stories around for the world to see and learn from.
He said the future belongs to those who see possibilities before they become obvious, pointing out that over the years the foundation has facilitated the donation of artificial limbs to well over 300 beneficiaries from different parts of the country.
He commended the effort of her partners, the Northern Youths Council of Nigeria and the Kaduna Transport Company Limited for all their support and contributions towards the success of the inaugural project in Northern Nigeria.
The beneficiaries, who were well accommodated and fed during their stay, returned back to Kaduna on the 14th November, 2020 as planned with their custom built artificial limbs. They were received by the Kaduna Line Managing Director, Mr, Augustine Ogar in company of the Northern Youths Council of Nigeria President, Isah Abubakar.
Mr.Ogar stated that the transport industry such as Kaduna Line in support of the People Living with Disability (PLWD) is purchasing user-friendly vehicles that would easily accommodate the People Living with Disabilities in our society.
