In his drive to bring dividends of democracy to the people, a member of the National Assembly representing Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency, Alhaji Kabiru Ahmadu Mai-Palace has distributed 20 tricycles and 100 motorcycles to unemployed youths in his constituency.
Flagging off the distribution in Gusau, the lawmaker said the gesture was part of his youths empowerment programme to support his constituents in the state.
Mai Palace added that the gesture was also aimed to complement the state government to end security challenges and poverty among people especially at grassroots.
“This is inline with the present administration in the state led by governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle to curtailed the insecurity challenges that bedevilling the state through empowering youths and women and sponsoring them to schools,” he said.
He said the gesture is part of his of campaign promises which he had being fulfilling since assumption of office.
“I embarked on various development projects in various sectors such as healthcare services, education, job opportunities, federal government empowerment schemes, boreholes, provision of furniture to schools and office furniture for different institutions”, he said.
He said all the projects are aimed at complementing both State and Federal government’s effort in improving education, healthcare services, Agriculture and providing empowerment opportunities to tje teaming youths.
“I believe in empowerment because that’s the easiest way to create wealth and bridge the unemployment gaps and to make impact on people’s lives as well as playing role in degrading the sharpness of insecurity in the state,” he assures.
He reiterated his commitment to continue to devote all his energy and everything in his possession to help the youths and women for them to become self reliant.
The lawmaker appealed to all the beneficiaries to utilize the tricycles, motorcycles and other materials to sustain themselves and create wealth.
In his remark, the State Acting state Chairman, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Hassan Damri commended the lawmaker for the gesture which he said was unprecedented in the state.
“We are very proud to have you, especially with these empowerment programmes. The PDP remains grateful to you and we assure you our maximum support and cooperation for the successes of all your numerous programmes,” he said.
Earlier, the Personal Secretary to the lawmaker, Mustafa Hassan said more beneficial programmes are on the way to empower more people from the two local government areas of Gusau and Tsafe.
“I urge you to make good use of these gesture to become self reliant to be able to contribute our quota to the economic development of Zamfara state,” he said.
