The current insecurity challenges in the North West and other parts of the country will soon fizzle out as the Nigerian Army has taken concrete proactive measures to mitigate the activities of the insurgents and other criminals.
This assurance was given by the Commandant Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna, Major General Jamil Sarham when he led cadets of the 68 and 69 Regular Courses for a first hand learning tour to the Nigerian Army Special Super Camp IV in Faskari, the operation theatre command headquarters of Operation Sahel Sanity fighting banditry in North West region of the country..
General Sarham assured that with the current onslaught being carried out by the troops of Operation Sahel Sanity in rooting out bandits, kidnappers and cattle rustlers in the north west, issues of insecurity will soon be a thing of the past as they criminals will be totally wiped out of the zone and other parts of the country.
“I assure you that insecurity will soon fizzle out completely through successes being recorded in the fight against bandits and other criminals,” he said.
He commanded the troops of Operation Sahel Sanity and urged them not to rest on their oars until they eradicate all forms of criminality in the zone.
“We have seen and we have heard from the briefings the numerous successes that you have recorded, we urge you to continue to make us proud, we are very around of you,” he said.
The NDA Commandant said the cadets were brought to the Super Camp to acquit and prepare them to become gallant officers.
“The Special Super Camp concept is a new idea that is working and working very well and we in NDA as a training institution, we welcome changes, we welcome development and since Super Camp is here, it only makes sense that we come around and see how it is done, so that we can embed it into our trading curriculum,” he said.
