Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: Lagos Leads with 255 of 300 New Cases in 5 States, FCT, Total 64,090

    Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said that Nigeria recorded 300 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) in five states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Sunday 8th November 2020.
    The COVID-19-infected areas are: Lagos 255, FCT 27, Oyo 10, Kaduna 5, Ondo 2 and Kano 1.
    As of 11.10 p.m. on 8 November 2020 Nigeria had been infested with a total of 64,090 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic since the index case was reported in the country.
    Out of the total, 59,910 cases had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the worldwide disease had claimed 1,154 lives in the nation during the period under review.
    No death arising from COVID-19 occurred in Nigeria on Sunday.

    “Today’s report from Lagos State includes updated cases recorded over the course of the last two days,” NCDC announced on its twitter handle on Sunday.
