Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 150 New Cases, Total 62,521

Nine of Nigeria’s thirty-six states recorded 150 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) on Thursday October 29, 2020.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said the following states were infected by COVID-19 pandemic on Thursday: Lagos 89, Rivers 19, Ogun 11, Bayelsa 9, Kaduna 8, Plateau 8, Taraba 3, Osun 2 and Delta 1.

As of 11.20 p.m. on 29th October 2020 NCDC reported that a total of 62,521 confirmed cases of COVID-19 had been detected in the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) since the index cases was recorded in the country.
Out of the total, 58,249 people who tested positive for the virus had been treated and discharged from the country’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the number of deaths caused by the worldwide disease in the nation stood at 1,141 cases, during the period under review.

Two persons were killed by the ailment in the country on Thursday.

“Our discharges today include 66 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with new case management guidelines,” NCDC announced on its twitter account.
