Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 147 New Cases, Total 62,371

The following eleven states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja were attacked by 147 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Wednesday 28th October 2020.

They are: Lagos 82, FCT 20, Rivers 9, Kaduna 8, Plateau 8, Benue 5, Edo 3, Kano 3, Nasarawa 3, Taraba 3, Ogun 2 and Bauchi 1.


As of 11 30 p.m. on 28th October 2020 Nigeria reported having a total of 62,371 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic since the index case occurred in the nation.

Out of the total, 58,095 people who contracted the worldwide virus had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while the disease had killed 1,139 patients in  Nigeria as of yesterday, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced on its twitter platform on Wednesday.

COVID-19 killed four persons in the country on Wednesday.
