Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 4 Die, 113 New Cases, Total 62,224

Eleven states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja were infected with 113 new cases of Novel CoronaVirus disease (COVID-19) on Tuesday 27th October 2020.


The COVID-19 infested places were: Lagos 51, FCT 15, Plateau 11, Kaduna 8, Oyo 8, Rivers 8, Ogun 4, Edo 2, Imo 2, Kwara 2, Delta 1 and Kano 1.

As of 11.19 p.m. on 27th October 2020 Nigeria had recorded a total of 62,224 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic since the index case occurred in the country.

Out of the total, 57,916 patients who tested positive to the worldwide disease had been treated and discharged from Nigeria’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,135 people have died of the virus during the period under review, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported on its twitter account.

COVID-19 killed four patients in Nigeria on Tuesday.

“Our discharges today include 165 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with new case management guidelines,” NCDC announced on Tuesday.
