Nigeria’s COVID-19 Update: 62 New Cases, Total 61,992

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced that the country was infected with 62 new cases of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic on Sunday.


The virus was detected in ten states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja thus: Taraba 18, Ogun 15, FCT 6, Kaduna 6, Katsina 4, Ondo 4, Ekiti 3, Rivers 3, Kano 1, Osun 1 and Sokoto 1.

As of 11.11 p.m. on Sunday 25th October 2020 Nigeria had recorded a total of 61,992 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the index case occurred there.

Out of the total, 57,465 people who contracted the worldwide disease had been treated and discharged from the nation’s COVID-19 isolation centres, while 1,130 COVID-19-related deaths had happened in the country during the period under review.

The illness killed one patient in Nigeria on Sunday.
