Jigawa Awards Roads, Electrification Projects Worth N9bn

The Jigawa State Government has awarded road projects, and lightning of some major towns worth over N9bn, Commissioner of Works, Housing, and Transport of the state, Engineer Aminu Usman Gumel has stated.

Also awarded was the contract for the construction of Ringim Council’s township road worth 959 million Naira to Triactor Nigeria Limited.

 Engineer Aminu Usman Rola who was addressing the press at his office, said both the roads and electrification projects were advertized.

He further stated that after successful bidding, some regional road projects were awarded.

Least amongst them are Basirka- Badirka, awarded to Alren at the cost of N861,882,580.65, leading to many North Eastern parts of Jigawa State.

Similarly, the commissioner said the state government has awarded contract for the electrification of Gagarawa to Gumel, to Garki up to Suletankarkar Local Government Area.

He added that the state government has awarded the contract of streetlights of 150 units in Hadejia and 230 units in Babura at the cost of 90 million Naira and 130 million Naira respectively.

Also approved by the Jigawa State Executive Council was the actualization of proper taking-off of Gagarawa power transmission sub- station leading from Gumel- Gagarawa- Garki, Malam-Madori and Maigatari will benefit from one feeder outlet line.
