Assistant Coach of D’ Tigers Daoudu Ogoh has said that he is confident Nigeria will pick one of the tickets in the next Afrobasketball qualifiers slated for Rwanda.
Nigeria is in Group D with fellow West African nation, Mali, Algeria and the host nation Rwanda for the qualifiers and Ogoh is optimistic that D’ Tigers have what it takes to come out tops in Kigali.
” As you’re aware, Nigeria is in one of the toughest groups in the qualifiers. All the countries in Group D are potential winners but we’re not going to give chances because our target is to qualify for the continental championship”, he said.
Ogoh believes that with the caliber of players in D’ Tigers, there will be no playing second fiddle in the qualifiers which he said will provide a big challenge as most of the payers are still recovering from the effect of COVID- 19 pandemic even as he posited that their plan is to win all the matches.
‘ We’re going to Rwanda to win all our Group natches . Am aware that our opponents are preparing seriously for us knowing that we qualified for the Olympics and are African champions but we’re not gong to give chances or underrate any of our opponents because our target is to win all our matches and am optimistic we’ll achieve the target’, he concluded.
